How to remove, stop or deactivate Corona Caller tune.

Due to this Covid19 pandemic, the Indian government had taken an initiative and directed all the mobile network operators to start a pre directive message to be played whenever you call any person.

Initially, it was a good step, as you got to know the things you can do to prevent COVID 19. But now as we already know all the prevention against Corona Virus then this caller tune feels a bit irritating when you dial a number.

So here we bring you two methods to deactivate this caller tune, the first one is a temporary solution another one is permanent.

First Method (Temporary Solution)

1) This method needs to be done every time you dial a number

2) Dial any number you want to talk with.

3) When Corona caller tune starts, open the dial pad again and "Press 1".

4) After pressing 1, the caller tune will immediately stop and you will hear a normal dialing tone, and the call will continue.

In this method, You can also disconnect the phone after 5 seconds and again dial the same number, you will not hear the caller tune on the second time.

Second Method (Permanent Solution)

This method is currently available for Airtel and Jio users. Vodafone & Idea customers have to use the first method only for time being. 

For Airtel users:

1) Dial *646*224# in the dial pad.

2) Press 1 in the popup window to Deactivate.

3) You will receive a message that Pre-RBT is successfully deactivated.

For Jio users:

1) Open a new SMS.

2) Send “STOP” to 155223.

3) It will deactivate the corona caller tune and you will receive a confirmation message.

For Vodafone & Idea (Vi) users:

1) Open a new SMS.

2) Send “STOP” to 155223.

3) It will deactivate the corona caller tune and you will receive a confirmation message.

For BSNL users:

1) Open a new SMS.

2) Send “UNSUB” to 56700 or 56799.

3) It will deactivate the corona caller tune and you will receive a confirmation message.
