The Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which includes the company's next flagship smartphones, was unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event on Tuesday (February 9). Samsung has released three new S-series smartphones, similar to previous year. This year's lineup comprises the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The smartphones are equipped with the newest chipsets for high-end smartphones and have AMOLED panels with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung has increased the charging speed of its Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra models to 45W wired charging this year. On the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung touts superior "Nightography" low-light photography enhancements. The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have the same camera arrangement, but the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the first S-series smartphone to include a S Pen built into the phone's chassis — and the first Samsung smartphone since the Galaxy Note 20.
Price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra
The 8GB RAM +128GB and 8GB+ 256GB storage variants for the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will be available. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in storage configurations of 8GB RAM + 128GB, 12GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 512GB, and 12GB RAM + 1TB.
The Galaxy S22 costs $799 (approximately Rs. 59,900) while the Galaxy S22 Plus costs $999. (roughly Rs. 74,800). The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced at $1,199. (roughly Rs. 89,700). The business has yet to provide price information for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in India. Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones will be available starting February 25.
